What We Do
We work on ground breaking research projects that have a direct impact on the health and well-being of patients. Using the combined skills of university health research experts, NHS and social service workers and patients we develop evidence based techniques and tools to help improve the lives of patients and lead to a  better and more effective NHS and social care service. Pilot schemes are developed and tested in selected sites and, following evaluation and discussion, rolled out across the wider NHS.

Our programme has patients at its core. The Delivery themes are the vehicle for translating research into practice to improve outcomes, experience and value. The Cross-cutting themes provide the systematic approach to guide, facilitate and evaluate this translation and build research and improvement capacity across staff groups and organisations.
